Pair Japanese Lacquer Habachi

About the Item

This is a beautiful example of the perfection of Japanese Minimalism design that dates to the Showa or possibly Taisho era. The simplicity of the circular form and minimal decoration to the polished Japanese lacquer make this pair of utilitarian items true works of art. These are table top hibachi or hand warmers which are now the perfect vessels for orchids or other sculptural plants. The Urushi lacquer is of top quality and although its shows signs of use, it is still in very good condition. The hibachi have retained their original copper liners. (Remember: Every room needs a bit of black or red).
