About the Item
A finely decorated vintage Japanese box for precious incense, kogo, in the shape of a male mandarin duck, oshidori, by Zohiko, Showa Era, 1960's, or earlier.
The lovely and whimsical box formed as a male oshidori, mandarin duck. The duck is beautifully decorated, with silver lacquer feathers gracefully picked out against a gold lacquer ground.
