This charming ormolu bowl features a squat ovoid body with twin handles mounted to the sides. The bowl is adorned to the front and back with embossed cartouches containing Arabic script, demonstrating that the piece was produced in China for export to an Islamic market. The bowl is marked underside with Chinese characters.
