About the Item

A Fine Japanese Cloisonné Vase decorated with Mythical creatures and floral decoration. Meiji period (c. 1890–1910) A finely worked in silver and gold wire, the globular body features patchwork panels of stylised blossoms and foliage, set above medallions with dragons and phoenix. The slender neck displays spirals and jewel motifs, all rendered in rich enamels and delicate wirework. A vivid and well-balanced example of late 19th-century Japanese cloisonné artistry. In good condition commensurate with age. No damage or restoration observed. Size: H 15 cm
