Japanese Old Rusted Toy Car 1950s-1980s / Object Wabi Sabi

About the Item

This is an old toy car made in Japan. It was made in the late Showa period, and the body is mainly made of tinplate. The tires are made of rubber, and the driver's boy is made of plastic. The rust that has spread over the entire body of the car over the many years it has been carefully stored has created a unique texture, giving it an indescribable, deep sense of presence. The figure of the boy driving the car is somewhat reminiscent of Osamu Tezuka's works, which tickles the viewer's fancy. It may be Atom, but details are unknown. This item is more than a mere toy; it is an artistic object. As a one-of-a-kind object that holds the memories of the times, it adds a story to your space in a subtle way. Weight: 1kg ____________________________________________ Our Philosophy Objects always tell the truth. All I can do is just to face with them sincerely and give them deep affection as much as I can. There is no boundary of nationalities and of eras in beauty. But I think now is the time we choose 'Japanese style' and it will be the best way to remind us of what we are losing today and to question us about an essence of beauty again. I hope that you can touch the memories which the objects here have, feel and think of something invisible but exists undoubtedly.
