Set of 5 Mid-Century German Farmer Series Chairs and Table by Gerd Lange, 1960s

About the Item

Design classic from the “Bofinger Farmer Program” based on designs by Gerd Lange from the 1960s. Here in a rare version from the end of the 60s in red and black. This collapsible furniture is less well known and not as ubiquitous as Safari Chairs. The Bofingers from this series consist of a complex plug-in system of individual wooden elements. They can be completely dismantled into very small and handy individual parts. The elements are made of ash and stained red in this version Thick canvas cloth serves as the seat, which lies in loops, crosswise in the frame and is laced from below.
