Hagiwara Hideo is an oil painter, but he also left behind many abstract prints.
Towards the end of his life, he started working on a series of woodblock prints, , which were based on Mt. Fuji.
was inspired by Katsushika Hokusai's .
This work is an abstract piece that is typical of Hagiwara. The colors are well preserved and it is in good condition.
There is also a work called "Tropical Fish", so perhaps this is also a fish.
This appears to be a work from his later years.
Signed by "hideo hagiwara" and editions are also available.
Comes with a lovely hardwood frame, the back is fixed with screws.
