Paul Jacoulet Signed Japanese Woodblock Print Marionettes Chinoises Chinois 1935

About the Item

A fantastic original woodblock print by famed French artist Paul Jacoulet titled "Marionettes Chinoises Chinois. (Chinese Puppets. Chinese)" Jacoulet was famed for his techniques involving lacquers, embossing, mica, and metal pigments, and with experimentations with powdered semi-precious stones. The print is from a edition of 350 (it is likely noted on the verso but we have not removed from the frame). Hand signed by Jacoulet in pencil within the image at the lower right above Mandarin Duck red ink seal. A beautiful and quite engaging work. Would be a great addition to collectors of Paul Jacoulet's work or Japanese print/ art collection or make for an eye catching stand alone accent artwork in any setting. Framed dimensions: 21" high, 17.5" wide, 1".5 deep.
