Exquisite Group of Five Japanese Hand Decorated Pine Sweet Dishes

About the Item

A superb group of five well crafted and finished Pine dishes with hand illustrated images of Pine, Bamboo, Chrysanthemum, Plum and Iris done in black ink with various Japanese script (possibly poems) and red ink chop marks. The wood graining is subtle and well chosen and the art work is traditional and reminiscent of antique Japanese scrolls. Dimensions: Each Dish measures 5.25” diameter by .5” high. Condition: Original condition with slight age related ink losses and a few minor nicks and rubs which do not detract from the refined Green Tea Ceremony styling.
