Mid 20th century Yao Group embroidered pants The muted earth tones of the patterns on these embroidered pants are typical of the work done by the Yao ethnic group in northern Laos before the use of aniline dyes. The precision of the embroidery and the negative space between the rows of patterns create a balanced and pleasing aesthetic. In wonderful condition for their age.
