Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this stunning pair of original circa 1880 Chinese gold and silver threaded tapestry on silk depicting Chinese Foo Dog's and Dragons Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote, please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price. A very good looking and well made pair, they are embroidered with gold and silver thread on silk as mentioned, they often don't survive due to the weight of the thread and the delicateness of the silk Condition wise, as you can see the first one has some perishing to the silk at the top which isn't to bad, the second one has a lot more, to be honest the fact that they are still around is a wonder in any condition, these will only get rarer and more valuable as time goes on I have another pair of these listed under my other items which depict birds and flowers, they are sublime Dimensions Height:- 67.3cm Width:- 27.8cm Depth:- 4cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
