About the Item

Qing Dynasty embroidered silk roundel depicting a profusion of irises. The flowers are embroidered in satin stitch in various shades of blue and ivory on a dark blue silk background. A few Lingzhi mushrooms -- the mushrooms of immortality -- are dotted around among the flowers. It is a very charming piece of work. This 19th century piece is in excellent condition, with no loose threads or tears, and the colors are rich and vivid.
