Vintage Moroccan Caftan, black and gold embroidered trim, ca. 1970s Vintage Moroccan black caftan in linen fabric with gold trim embroidered, circa 1970s. This djellabah is crafted in Morocco and tailored for a relaxed fit, features a traditional neckline, embellished sleeves. This long maxi dress kaftan is embroidered and embellished entirely by hand. One of a kind evening Moroccan hooded djellabah. In Morocco, fashion preserves its traditional style inherited from great civilizations that found their way to Northwest Africa, such as the Ottomans and the Moors. Moroccan fashion has been recognized for its style and has garnered a reputation, winning awards in international fashion shows throughout Europe. Marrakech Bohemian hippie style. Size small to medium: The caftan is perfect for a man or woman, Dress measurement flat: Shoulder: 14" (seam to seam) Sleeve: 22" (shoulder seam to cuff) Chest: 18" (armpit to armpit) Waist: 20" (narrowest point) Hip: 20" (measured 6" below waist) Total Length: 51" (centre back to hem) Hand crafted by Moroccan artist designer, this is a one of a kind caftan, inspired by the tales of princess of the Arabian Nights. The Kaftan is a long and wide tunic, collarless, long-sleeved, worn by man and women. The Moroccan kaftans inspired European and global designers as Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, and many more who made the caftan famous in the 1960s and 1970s. Hand made in Morocco.
