About the Item

This is a fabulous pair of continental , glazed ceramic wall brackets, 20th century, most probably Italian. Each one shaped as a mermaid, in the grand tradition of Italian majolica. Gorgeous vibrant colour and a wonderful scale. 15 inches in height. In very good condition and sturdy enough to support a substantial flower pot. Some small chips to the craquelure on the rim of each piece, a flake to the nose of one mermaid, and some surface cracks to the back of one mermaid. Please see photos.
