Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown dark orange, white, controlled bubbles and gold flecks Italian art glass seashell sculptural bowl. Documented to Alfredo Barbini, circa 1950s, only one has the original gallery label. It reads "Camer Glass - New York - N. L5 - Made In Italy". The surface has a ribbed design, with spaced out bubbles on the inside (Bullicante technique), and profusely covered in gold leaf throughout the outside and the inside. Nicely sculpted, looking like real seashells. Would make a great display piece on any desk, side table or credenza. Use it as a catchall, or candy dish. Mid-century era. Perfect for any coastal, or nautical themed room. Measurements vary a little, but are 7" long x 6" wide x 3" tall. Please message me if you have a preference on the shells. One is a little darker than the other.

Alfredo Barbini (1912–2007), a glass artist born in 1912 on the islands of Murano in the lagoon of Venice, Italy, was one of Murano's leading figures of the 20th century. His parents were members of families, which had been prominent in the glassmaking industry on Murano for generations as glassblowers and beadmakers.
