    Very nice 'Comete' coffee table designed by Patrice Maffei and produced in France by Kappa in 1971. The base is made of stainless steel and is still in a very good condition. The shape itself looks really clean and the curves are smoothly bent sheets of brushed stainles steel that have been put together, there are no signs of joints. This nice shape can be seen from all over, since it has a glass top which is also in a very good condition. No marks of wear can be seen, and the combination of materials really give that space age feeling, which is typical for the ethos of Patrice Maffei. In the 1970's Kappa, in collobaration with various designers, produced  designs that are very characteristic for the groundbreaking progress in space age furniture...
