About the Item

A very fine Art Nouveau English art glass footed bowl with silver rim dated 1904. Attributed to either Stourbridge or Stevens & Williams the glass bowl is of squat round form and stands raised on three curled legs. The dish is made in clear glass with a green tint to the upper body. The bowl has slice cut design around the outer edge and is fitted with a silver rim. The rim has makers marks for George Ernest Hawkins with Birmingham assay marks including date marks for 1904. A fine example and a lovely piece of period glass to add to any collection. Provenance: From an extensive and select private glass collection and acquired in the UK Art Market. The bowl is in good condition with wear associated with age and use.
