Kralik Art Nouveau Iridescent Glass Pedestal Mounted Bowl

About the Item

A stylish Czech/Bohemian Art Nouveau pedestal iridescent purple glass bowl attributed to renowned makers Kralik and dating from around 1904. The bowl is hand blown in wide rounded shaped with a pinched and floral shaped rim with ribbing extending from the centre of the bowl to the inside. The bowl is blown in a rich iridescent purple glass and is mounted on a central metal plated stand with a wide round shaped stepped base with a worn silver plated finish giving a pewter like appearance. The bowl has a wonderful, oily iridescence and is typically not marked. Provenance: From the collection of a Belgium based gentleman collector and acquired by him from the UK Art Market The bowl presents well however has wear associated with age and use.
