19th Century European Black Lacquered Chinoserie Painted Tea/Tobacco Caddy Jar

A large English lacquered papier-mâché container from the Aesthetic Movement period, featuring a decorative chinoserie painting of stylized Asian figures, pagodas, and a garden bridge. Silver foil lined interior, and floating inner lid. 6 inches tall.
