Beautiful antique Victorian era enameled blue opaline milk glass dresser box, (jewel casket - trinket case - decorative table box), late 19th century, in the manner of CF Monroe Nakara art glass boxes. circa 1890s
A most charming objet d’art, elegant, sophisticated and luxurious styling, featuring a cylindrical pale baby blue milk glass case with hinged lid, decorated with exquisitely detailed polychrome transferred classical scene of a winged putti cherub fanning a woman besides a floral basket, framed by raised enamel scroll work, heavily patinated brass fittings, the circular chest garnished in delicate white enamel scroll flourish.
