Murano Orange Gold Fleck Bubbles Pear Top Italian Art Glass Container Vanity Jar
About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown rich persimmon orange over white, controlled bubbles and gold flecks Italian art glass candy container or vanity jewelry box. The piece has a beautiful clear and gold leaf pear top decoration at the top. The container has a bulbous, almost pumpkin shape, with "Bullicante" technique bubbles all-over. The surface is profusely covered in gold leaf. The gold gather in and around the bubbles, making them stand out. Still retains a well preserved import gallery label underneath, which reads "An Original Creation By - KB - Made In Italy". Created in the manner of designer Alfredo Barbini and the Barovier e Toso company. Would make a great display piece on any coffee table, dresser or credenza. Use it as a catchall, or fill it with cookies and candy. Mid-century era. Measures 7 1/2" across x 6" tall.
