Bobby Reed Falwell American Studio Sculpted Jewelry Box in Walnut, 1970s

About the Item

Highly sculptural, oval-shaped box with a pair of yin-yang lids that rotate at opposing points, executed in walnut by Bobby Reed Falwell. Falwell earned his master's degree in sculpture and furniture design at RIT where his faculty advisor was none other than Wendell Castle whose organic modern vernacular is certainly evoked by this design. Shows a rich patina throughout. Signed 'FALWELL' to the underside.
