This very elaborate jewelry box or vanity dresser makeup chest is unsigned, but presumed to have been made in China in approximately 1850 in the period Chinese Export style.

Lovely red lacquered portable case with 4 full depth drawes. Hand carved with original black lacquer & gilt details. China, 19th c. Handle adds 1.5" to height listed below.

Dated to the early 20th century, this four-drawer table chest was likely used a jewelry box and is beautifully decorated with black lacquer inlaid with mother-of-pearl.
