Pair of Chinese Laquer and Hardstone Cabinets, Late 19th - Early 20th Century
About the Item
Excellent pair of Chinese lacquered cabinets or nightstands decorated with hardstone and mother of pearl carvings of flora and fauna. These dark brown chests are matching in size and fronted by two doors with patinated brass metal lockplates and hardware. Embellished on three sides with intricately carved flowers, birds. The chests are supported by square legs ending with brass clad feet.
In very good antique condition, having some minor fading on the sides.
China, late 19th century / early 20th century.
