Early 19th Century Georgian Mahogany Twin Tea Caddy with Brass Handle A finely crafted Georgian tea caddy, English, circa 1810. The rectangular form is veneered in richly figured mahogany with boxwood stringing and set on small brass bun feet. The hinged lid is surmounted by an elegant cast brass handle of neoclassical design. The front is fitted with a shaped bone escutcheon and retains its original working lock and key. The interior comprises two lidded compartments with original lead lining, each fitted with a finely turned bone knob. The lid interior is lined in later maroon paper. A well-preserved example with gentle surface wear consistent with age, offering both functionality and charm. Dimensions: Height: 17 cm Width: 23 cm Depth: 14 cm Condition: Very good antique condition. Minor wear and signs of use as expected. Original compartments, hardware, and key present.
