About the Item
An elegant and high quality pair of French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. Glass, Ormolu and white Carrara marble candelabras. Each stunning three arm candelabra is raised on a white Carrara marble base with mottled edges below a square Ormolu mount with a beaded trim and spiral fluted socle. The exceptional cobalt blue Glass urns are flanked by scrolled and spiral twisted Ormolu arms which lead to the neck adorned with swaging chains and a central tassel. Above are the three curved Ormolu arms ending with floral candle cups amidst expertly chased Ormolu branches and leaves. All original gilt throughout.
