About the Item
A rare find not to be missed: A set of three matching, very decorative, vintage wall candle sconces in a pure Hollywood Regency style. The set consists of one larger wall sconce with two arms and two smaller ones with single arms. The wall sconces are currently not wired but adapted for candles. However, the design is made in such a way that they can easily be wired if so wanted (holes are made to pass wiring inside the branches, see photos).
The wall candle sconces have been sourced in France but are made in Italy, see metal label. They are made from gilded metal/tole and feature beautiful flowers/roses and branches with leaves. The larger sconce hast three roses while the smaller ones have two roses each. They date from the 1960s.
Sold together as a set of three sconces.
Dimension large sconce: width 35 cm/ 13 1/4", height 35 cm/ 13 1/4", depth 11 cm/ 4 1/4".
Dimension smaller sconces: width 24 cm/ 9 1/2", height 30 cm/ 11 3/4", depth 14 cm/ 5 1/2".
Weight as a set of 3: 1595 g/ 3.5 lbs
In good vintage condition. No missing sections or repairs. Lovely, warm, deep gold patina. Slight signs of wear consistant with age and use (see photos).
