About the Item

Antonio da Ros for Cenedese large, heavy and tall vintage Italian pink Murano glass candlestick holder made circa 1980s -1990s. Utilizing no less than three top Murano glass techniques - the 'Sommerso' (submerged), the 'Incalmo' technique (the technique of joining two pieces of glass together) and the 'Bullicante' (the ability capture and control the placement of trapped air bubbles within the glass). This large, heavy piece of glass features a beautiful female water carrier figurine with pink toned glass to create her dress. The placing of the two bubbles to represent her breasts - this is really a stunning centrepiece which captures the light beautifully and would make a wonderful conversation piece. Rare piece of glass in collectors condition.
