French Early 19th Century Empire Period Mantel Clock Signed Ledure

About the Item

Very fine early 19th century Empire period mantel clock of patinated bronze. It is signed by one of the best Parisian bronzers Pierre Victor Ledure and his collaborating clockmaker Claude Hémon. The case of classical form with typical Empire ornaments; the central with the head of Janus. The fine and original movement is in working order and runs for around one week.
