La Lettera 22 è una popolare macchina per scrivere meccanica portatile realizzata dalla società Olivetti. Fu uno dei prodotti Olivetti di maggior successo negli anni cinquanta[1] e ricevette premi sia in Italia che all’estero, inoltre è esposta nella collezione permanente di design al Museum of Modern Art di New York
Disegnata nel 1950 dall'architetto e designer Marcello Nizzoli, che nel 1931, in occasione della I Quadriennale Romana, presentò un dipinto; realizzò con Persico una pubblicità per Olivetti, iniziando così il suo legame con la ditta di Ivrea.
L'esemplare proposto, è corredato dalla scatola originale che funge da custodia e valigetta per il trasporto e dal libretto di istruzioni.
