About the Item

REGENCY LETTER RACK, ANSWERED AND UNANSWERED. A wonderful letter box, with fretwork design, made from rosewood. There is a central divider within the box to separate the letters. The lid has a turned turned knob in the top of the hinged lid. Next to the slots are two labels in mother of pearl, one reads 'Answered' and the other 'Unanswered'. The box has two side compartments for more envelopes and comes complete with a working key. It is in excellent original condition. Dimensions: Height 12 cm / 4 3⁄4" Width 26.5 cm / 10 1⁄2" Depth 14 cm / 5 "
