This is a tall antique decorative obelisk. An Italian, oak carved monolith or cenotaph, dating to the late 19th century, circa 1900. Fascinating decorative piece from the days of the grand tour Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order Select oak shows fine grain interest beneath the wax polish finish Dark russet hues and wisps of medullary rays adding further appeal Obelisk rising from a tiered pedestal base, with vertically reeded socle The square base dressed with a sliver of golden tanned leather This is an appealing and pleasingly monolithic antique decorative obelisk.
