19th Century Italian Porcelain Greyhound. Beautifully sculpted with realistic facial expression. Made in Italy, circa 1890. 20" High 5" Wide 11.5" Deep A refined and beautifully sculpted Italian porcelain greyhound, dating to the late 19th century, circa 1890. Rendered in a luminous white glaze, this elegant figure captures the poised and slender form of a seated greyhound- likely an Italian Greyhound or Whippet- with remarkable anatomical precision and grace. The statue exudes quiet dignity and classical charm, with finely modeled musculature, delicately curled taiol, and expressive features, including black-painted eyes, nose, and claws that contrast subtly against the clean porcelain body.
