Art Glass Sommerso Murano Swan Bird Figurine
About the Item
Stunning Murano Art glass swan bird figurine. This bird figurine was made using the sommerso technique and features purple and blue tones. “sommerso” which is Italian meaning “submerged”. The Sommerso technique is used to form multiple layers of different and often contrasting art glass colours inside one piece in which the colours are layered without mixing.
This specific design is attributed to Flavio Poli which often used similar glass colours and shapes in their work.
In good condition, no cracks or chips. Natural flaws such as air bubbles and glass strands found on the piece.
