The Asian recumbent ram is shown resting upon gilded hooves with head raised and black eyes looking straight ahead, its mouth slightly opened, finely decorated with dense scrolled pattern in gold wire on brown background.
All the animals of the Chinese Zodiac are painted on the body of the ram, from dragons, roosters, etc.
Stylized floral scrolls and blooming lotus hand-painted on a bright turquoise ground saddle with gold.
It is made of wood and hand-painted in a cloisonné Asian style.
