About the Item
A rare majolica ceramic sculpture by Charles Lemanceau for Saint Clément. The piece depicts two sleek, streamlined greyhounds in motion, capturing the essence of speed and grace. The design is distinctly Art Deco, with its stylized, geometric form and smooth, flowing lines that emphasize the elegance and dynamism of the dogs. The ceramic is glazed in a creamy ivory tone, giving the sculpture a refined and polished appearance. This piece exemplifies Lemanceau's mastery in capturing movement and form, typical of his work during the 1930s.
