About the Item

Huge English Early 20th century Papier Mache Bull Figure Firmly attached to a section pine wheeled base, this hand-crafted papier Mache bull is huge and amazingly has real horns attached to its head. Old English newspaper is visible in sections underneath the worn paint, of perfect form with visible ribcage on show. This item would likely have been owned by a wealth family in the Victorian era as a child’s toy of sorts. The origin, size and form are what makes this item so special. Origin: England Material: Paper and wood with real horns attached. Age: Early 20th Century Size: Height 33” x Width 40” x Depth 18” Weight: 15kg Condition Report An old, aged item that has stood the test of time, its been played with for may years but the legs are firmly supported to the flaky painted base as shown. The paper surface has age in the form of wear and scuffed sections. The horns have slight movement but are not separate to the figure. The wheels move but squeak as are wonky. This is an old item as we have tried to show, a rear survivor. Its exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas of these pieces, therefore we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment upon purchase. For multiple years we have sold antique and vintage items globally, please expect our items to show relevant age and natural wear, Items are only restored due to breaks and loss, and we always stipulate this in our condition report.
