19th century carved pine folk art farmer and his oxen model We are proud to offer a unique example of a late 19th century hand carved pine folk art model of a farmer and his oxen. Recently uncovered in Austria from a private sale this one-off object is carved using sections joints and scratch-built techniques. A naïve artistic yet highly decorative object. We adore this item as it possesses so much character, folk art presence, naïve form, and tactile appeal. Size in inches: H 12” x W 41” x D 10” Period: 19th century Material: Pine Origin: Austria Condition: Fair Completely solid in structure and form, missing detail to areas of the models including oxen horns, face, support sections however this does not affect the artistic quality of this piece. Deep natural patina enriches this item with rusting across its metal wheels and nails. The figures had is broken at the front but stand alone as a piece of sculpture folk art, Each section of this model is detachable and movable. Its exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas in this piece, therefore we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment.
