This bust is a studio plaster piece made by Charles Filleul. It is a patinated plaster mounted on a wooden cube. It is a 20th-century work.

Charles Filleul (1853–1907) was a French sculptor of busts and figures, a student of Cavelier and A. Millet, and a member of the Société des Artistes Français. He received an honorable mention in 1887.
