Early 20th Century Madame and Monsieur Plaster Busts

About the Item

A pair of busts depicting a man and a woman. France/ Belgium, early 20th century. Made of plaster and painted in a dark colour imitating bronze. ‘Madame et Monsieur’ standing on plinths with a rectangular ground plan. The man wears a jacket with a tie and a typical stand-up collar with a small flap, as well as a flower on his lapel. The faces of both sculptures are very expressive. Dimensions: Woman Height: 73 cm / 28.74 inch. Width: 44 cm / 17.32 inch. Depth: 27 cm / 10.62 inch. Man Height: 72 cm / 28.34 inch. Width: 39 cm / 15.35 inch. Depth: 25 cm / 9.84 inch. Good authentic condition with signs of wear due to age.
