Accompanied by a broadsheet of the era by Professor Blackburne of 10, Nevill Street, Southport, entitled The Phrenological and Physiological Instructor and Register.
Of interest is the connection between L.N. Fowler and the American poet, Walt Whitman. Walt Whitman's interest in phrenology led him into a friendship with L.N. Fowler who helped publish the second edition of Whitman's Leaves of Grass.
