About the Item

A one-of-a-kind mixed media bust by Mexican artist Víktor Martínez. It is described as an antique saint's head in carved wood that has been resignified and reworked with a resin inlay in the upper back section and painted with silkscreen decorations around it. The piece is exhibited over an acrylic base. The head is signed and date 18. Head's dimensions: 27 x 19 x 17 cm. Dimensions with base: 37.5 x 23 x 23 cm. Víktor Martínez is a multi-discipline artist born in 1972 in Mexico City. A graphic designer by trade, Víktor has worked different styles and techniques during his career in order to create paintings, sculptures and objects of industrial design. His studio, YUNQUE, is located in Colonia Doctores and is a spot for fellow artists to seek help on different contemporary art related solutions.
