Antique French Silver & Gilt Finished Bronze Sculpture of a Seated Mother & Baby

About the Item

This well executed bronze sculpture depicting a mother seated holding her baby was presumed to have been made in France in circa 1900. This bronze has been heavily silvered giving it an almost chromed appearance with additional gilt accenting to the legs of the stool and to the mother's clothing and jewelry. This bronze sculpture is quite detailed and is signed on one of the stool's legs, but quite illegible and as such, the artist could not be identified.
