Large Vintage Molded Semi-Nude Neoclassical Styled Female Relief Wall Sculpture
About the Item
This mid-century era molded fiberglass wall sculpture is unsigned, but presumed to have been made in Canada in approximately 1960 in a Neoclassical Revival style. The relief depicts a seminude young female with long flowing robes, carrying a bowl or basket of fruit. The fiberglass form has been painted entirely in gold. The relief is large and stands approximately five feet in height and extends approximately three inches from the wall. We do have other similar wall sculptures from the same collection posted, but have no provenance, but presume they were made for a movie set, restaurant or banquet hall.
