Very rare fine french Art Déco wood sculpture "seated nude woman" by Paul Philippe. Edition S.A.S.Paris . France 1925.
The sculpture was carved from wood, signed by the artist Paul Philippe (1870-1930)
Inscribed on the underside Edition S.A.S.Paris. Made in France. Numbered.
The "Societé des artistes de Salon" was a French artists´ association to which Jacques Adnet, Georges Hilbert and Joel Martel also belonged.
Further information on the famous artist Paul Philippe, the object and S.A.S. Paris on customer request.
According to the Thünen Institute for Wood Research in Hamburg the female sculpture was made of Rosewood and not Riopalisander.
