Circa, 1987 Oh, little one… how I pray that someday you know and understand the deep, immense love my heart holds for you. Unconditional, unbreakable love that fills my entire being with complete and utter joy. I so badly want this moment to last forever. But it cannot. One day… way too soon for me, you will grow into a wonderful adult, and you will leave my arms to find your way in this world… but not today… not right now. Right now, I will hold you, swaddled in your blanket tight against my chest, breathe in your innocence, and appreciate that you need me as much as I need you. This moment in time, though you cannot yet speak, the stare of your perfect eyes into mine speaks directly to my soul. And this perfect moment, right now, I will cherish, forever. This is a wonderful sculpture of a mother cradling her child signed by artist by Willow Woosav for Austin sculptures. It is comprised of durastone, and it is absolutely breathtaking and ready to grace your home with its peaceful, loving presence. Fabulous organic modern bronze fishbowl sculpture by John Forsythe comprised of cast bronze with golden bronze and green patination. Gorgeous vintage condition with no outstanding flaws that we have found. Please see photos. Circa 1993. No human being, however great, or powerful, was ever so free as a fish – John Ruskin, Picture Quotes. Just look at this magnificent cast bronze bowl sculpture with fish design created by John Forsythe. A decorative bowl comprised of a cast bronze water whirlpool with swimming fish caught in the spinning currents, their half bodies and patinated green tails distending from the swirling water and a fish tail protruding from the exterior base of the bowl. You feel the struggle of trying to stay above water and complete your journey. Surrounded by a cast bronze rim trimmed with shiny green bubbles or fish eggs as to represent salmon and their spawning. Salmon lay an enormous number of eggs because they face a lot of adversity on their journey to becoming an adult, and while we aren’t sure these fish are in fact salmon, it certainly speaks to the realities of the course of life. Overcoming hardships and struggles and new beginnings. This sculpture is unique and one of only fifty created by John Forsythe, so it is sure to be a sought-after piece for collectors. In the style of organic modern or fantasy, this piece would be gorgeous displayed on your dining table, display cabinet or buffet in the family room, or on the coffee table in the living room. John Forsythe knew at an early age that he wanted to be an artist. He graduated from Emporia State University in 1976 with his BFA and started working with metals. He was employed as manager of Oxbow Foundry and befriended Eldon Tefft, Founder of the International Sculptor Guild and Chair of the University of Kansas Art...
