Ruler Selenite with an 18th century Italian gold leaf molding and a natural forming baroque pearl on a lucite base. Ruler selenite or "selenite logs" are single, prismatic selenite crystals from Morocco that were formed in extensive beds by the evaporation of ocean brine. This mineral is characterized by a silky, pearly luster called satin spare. It is then adorned with gold leaf wood molding and the baroque pearl which coordinate beautifully with the sleek selenite.
The piece is put together by Jean O'Reilly Barlow, the artist and creative director of Interi. The date of manufacture reflects when she created the piece but the Italian fragment sunray is originally 18th century.

Louis Jobst' Monument Lamp - Square is high quality, bespoke and handmade using solid raw materials. The base is finished with a black patina and cut from 90mm thick steel billet. Markings from the process are visible and intentionally left, exposing the character of the material. A square block of Travertine slots into the steel base. The opal glass diffuser is hand blown with a matte finish.
The concept was to design a lamp triptych (circle, triangle and square) made out of high quality materials for a formal interior space. A triptych of varying forms, colors and textures could create a 'common ground' throughout a space, whilst also working as individual lamps. In the early Nineties, John Seubert was living in a former hotel in a high-rise building on St. James Place in Chicago. The apartment was tiny, as hotel rooms tend to be, and clad with paper-thin walls allowing sound to pass from one apartment to the other. At the time, John’s artwork consisted of pounding copper sheets into tables which was a noisy endeavor to say the least. Following several noise complaints from the neighbors, John had a dream that he was living in a ramshackle house but with plenty of room to work and no attached neighbors.
