Large Antique Jadeite Glass Perfume Bottle with Ornate Gilt Brass Top and Mounts
Located in Hamilton, Ontario
This large antique perfume bottle is unsigned, but presumed to have been made Bohemia (Austria or the Czech Republic) in circa 1880 in the Renaissance Revival style. The bottle itself is made of jadeite green glass as is the stopper which is completely decorated with extremely ornate cast and gilt brass or bronze mounts. The stopper features a detailed figural soldier on the top with cascading leaves around the perimeter of the top. The bottle is adorned with well executed cast and gilded mesh and draped garlands which finishes with the ornate scrolled base, with accenting draped cast garland. Overall, this is a very unique and well executed antique scent...
