Swedish Jugend Copper Barrel Swedish Metal Art Ltd, ca 1905

About the Item

Swedish Jugend Copper Barrel Swedish Metal Art Ltd, ca 1905 Maker's mark 'AB Svensk Metallkonst Uddevalla', unknown designer. It fills me with a sense of awe and astonishment that the small city of Uddevalla could produce such intricate and special works, in the cosmopolitan European style. The craftsmanship and the flowing design of the chestnuts and leaves are beautiful, and combined with its patina and size, it makes this piece simply lovely.
