About the Item

19th century large Chinese iron ritual wine vessel or jue. Beautifully patinated with traces of original gilding, this is a fine example of the ancient drinking vessel used in ceremonies long ago. It is decorated with cast detailed geometric designs and features a flared body with a long spout and counterbalancing flange, standing on three splayed triangular legs. This is a great display piece with a striking artistic quality making it an impressive decoration on a coffee table, bookshelf, mantle or in a display case.
